Instructions:

A sphygmomanometer is an instrument for measuring blood pressure. The sphygmomanometer consists of an inflatable cuff or compression bag and a rubber tube connected to the end bulb. Bulbs are used to inflate the cuff. There is also an exhaust valve for releasing the air to clear the cuff. It also includes a pressure gauge or gauge. Sphygmomanometer is usually anbarometer, meaning there is no liquid. Mercury sphygmomanometer still exists, but it is usually used for calibrate the count of no liquid cuff. But because of the risk of mercury exposure, hospitals are rarely used.

The use of the sphygmomanometer is simple, allowing the patient to sit in a chair with slightly bent arms and palms up, keeping the forearm and heart level.
Turn the pressure sleeve ring around the arm, and the bottom edge is about an inch above the elbow. Arms should be naked, not restricted by tight clothing.
Gently place the stethoscope in front of the elbow.
Inflate the cuff to 20-30 mm Hg until the pulse disappears.
Slowly release pressure with valves. The air should be released at the rate of 2-3 mmHg per second.
Listen to the heartbeat through stethoscope. This is also known as the CFF effect. When you hear the first CFF sound, pay attention to the blood pressure measurement. This is the patient's systolic blood pressure (or high index). When the CFF effect disappears, the pressure value is diastolic pressure or low digit.
